This Cookie Policy explains how Kaduk Illia, Private Entrepreneur, doing business as Fatter.io ("we," "us," and "our"), uses cookies and similar browser technologies on fatter.io. It explains what is stored, why it is used, and how you can control it.
Some of the information processed through these technologies may be personal information, including a consent identifier and information associated with your browser. Our Privacy Policy explains our handling of personal information and your rights.
What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small files stored by a website in your browser. First-party cookies come from the website you visit; third-party cookies come from another provider. Similar technologies include localStorage, which can keep information between visits, and sessionStorage, which keeps information for a tab's browsing session. Unlike a cookie with an expiry date, a localStorage entry has no automatic expiry built into the browser.
This policy covers these similar technologies as well as cookies. The consent settings and game preferences described below use browser storage.
Why do we use these technologies?
We use necessary storage to remember privacy choices and support game loading and browser compatibility. With your permission, we also save game preferences so you do not need to choose them again on your next visit. Fatter.io does not currently display advertising or use a separate audience-analytics service such as Google Analytics.
How can I control cookies and browser storage?
Return to the game and select Privacy Settings to open the consent preferences. You can also use the consent banner when it appears. You can change or withdraw permission for optional storage at any time through these controls.
Saving graphics and appearance preferences depends on the Performance category. If you do not allow it, you can still play and change these settings for the current page, but we do not save them between visits. Withdrawing this permission removes the saved game-preference entries listed below. If the consent controls fail to load, optional game preferences remain unsaved; check your connection or content blocker and reload to try the controls again.
Necessary storage supports privacy controls and game compatibility and is not an optional category in the preference centre. You can still remove or block site data through your browser. Doing so can reset privacy choices or affect compatibility features.
Necessary browser storage
Consent choices and configuration
Provider and type
Termly, used by Fatter.io; localStorage.
Names
TERMLY_API_CACHE contains consent and related configuration data. Earlier versions may use a separate TERMLY_COOKIE_CONSENT entry.
Purpose
Remember a random consent identifier and your privacy choices, provide the consent controls, and communicate changes in permission to the game. Termly uses localStorage, rather than cookies, to store consent.
Duration and controls
Termly manages and may refresh or replace this stored information. LocalStorage itself has no built-in expiry. You can remove the entries by clearing site data in your browser; the site may then ask you to make your privacy choices again.
Termly also records consent choices on its servers. It derives an approximate country or region from your IP address to select the applicable consent settings. Removing browser entries does not by itself delete server-side consent records, and their retention is separate from browser-storage duration. For information about these records or to make a privacy request, contact privacy@fatter.io. See also Termly's Privacy Policy.
Game loading and compatibility
Provider and type
Fatter.io; sessionStorage.
Name
fasumo-thread-fallback-*
Purpose
Remember when a compatible game runtime is needed after a loading failure. The final part of the entry name identifies the game build. The related fasumo-thread-fallback-cache-retirement entry prevents repeated reloads while an older game cache is being retired.
Duration
The current tab's browsing session, subject to the browser's session-restore behaviour. The cache-retirement marker can be removed earlier once the old worker no longer controls the page. You can clear these entries by clearing the site's browser data.
Performance and functionality storage
The following optional entries are saved on Fatter.io only after permission for Performance storage. They are not used for advertising or audience analytics.
Graphics preferences
Provider and type
Fatter.io; localStorage.
Name
fatter-preference:graphics.cfg
Purpose
Remember graphics quality and the day/night preference.
Duration
No fixed expiry. The stored value is updated when you change the settings and removed when you withdraw the relevant permission or clear site data.
Character appearance
Provider and type
Fatter.io; localStorage.
Name
fatter-preference:appearance.cfg
Purpose
Remember your selected character skin.
Duration
No fixed expiry. The stored value is updated when you change the setting and removed when you withdraw the relevant permission or clear site data.
How can I control storage in my browser?
Your browser can let you view, remove, or restrict cookies and site data. Look for its site-data or privacy settings, or consult its help pages. Controls that only remove cookies may not remove localStorage, so choose the option for the site's stored data when you want to remove the entries listed here.
Clearing site data can reset your saved settings and consent choice. Your browser may also clear storage automatically, for example in private-browsing sessions or when freeing device space.
What about other technologies, such as web beacons?
We do not currently use advertising pixels, email-open tracking, or email-campaign tracking on Fatter.io. The storage used for privacy choices, game compatibility and optional settings is described above.
Your browser can keep game files in its normal HTTP cache to make loading faster. Cache duration depends on the browser and the response's cache settings. Clearing cached files may cause the game to download them again. The current game no longer uses its former IndexedDB database to save preferences or its former service worker to maintain an offline game cache. An older installation's data may remain until it is cleaned up or you clear site data.
Do you use Flash cookies or Local Shared Objects?
No. Fatter.io does not use Flash cookies or Flash Local Shared Objects.
Do you serve targeted advertising?
No. Fatter.io does not currently serve advertising, including targeted advertising, and does not use advertising-network cookies for that purpose.
How often will you update this Cookie Policy?
We update this policy when our storage practices change or when operational, legal, or regulatory requirements make an update necessary. The date at the top shows when this version was last updated. Revisit this page to review changes.
